A Day In the Life (September Break- 5 Months Old)

Here's a day in Brady's Life, September Break style!  (September 23, 2011)

6:30- Good Morning!  It's time to eat! Brady nurses for 19 minutes and falls asleep while nursing.  I put him back to bed, but just as I climb back into bed, he's up and ready to play! (6:52)

7:00-  We head downstairs for a diaper change and play time.

7:15- Daddy comes downstairs to play before getting ready for work!  Brady loves playing with his daddy!

Watching cartoons and playing/eating his rattle.

8:12-10:15- Naptime.  Brady took every single nap in my arms this week!  I loved it, and I think he did too!

10:15- Nana calls.  We talk to her for a few minutes, then it's time to eat.

10:30- Brady nurses for 13 min, which is followed by a burp and then 1,000 kisses from mommy!

10:50- Playtime!  Brady plays on his activity mat while mommy eats breakfast...finally.

11:15- It's time for a diaper change!  After Brady's diaper change, we head upstairs so mommy can get ready for the day.

I put Brady in his pack-n-play to watch cartoons while I get ready.  This is how I left him when I took a shower....

and this is how I found him when I got out.  I was maybe in the shower for 3 minutes.  He HATES when he can't see me.  He cries everytime...breaks my heart!

So, I moved him on the bed where he could see me while I got ready.

I was in the bathroom getting ready, and everytime I looked at Brady I saw this adorable face looking back at me.

Brady decided that watching me from the bed wasn't enough, he needed to be in my lap helping me get ready.  It's amazing what I've learned to do with one hand!

12:00- Mommy's finished getting ready and now it's Brady's turn.  Diaper change and an outfit, and he's ready for the day.

Oh, and Mommy put him down to get him ready for the day, how dare me.  Brady was not happy about it!  He wanted to be held, of course.

We head downstairs to play in the activity center while mommy makes lunch, but...

Brady couldn't see me, so I brought him in the kitchen with me to help.

12:15- Brady decided he didn't like the outfit he was wearing, so it was a diaper change and a new outfit for him, followed by some feet grabbing and rasberry blowing.

12:30-1:40:  Naptime in Mommy's arms!

1:45- Time to eat!  Brady nurses for 11 minutes and then it's time for a diaper change and mommy gets dressed.

2:15- Time to run some errands.  I think Brady always looks so cute in his carseat.  He's so good in the carseat and doesn't mind being on the go.  When we get where we're going, I usually put him in his Baby Bjorn.  He loves it!  We head to McDonalds, so mommy can eat lunch and then head to Hobby Lobby for some fall decorations.

Next stop, Harry's Farmers Market so Brady can pick out the first vegetable that he will eat.  (We ended up not feeding it to him yet, since daddy didn't get home in time for him to eat.)

4:00- We are home, and we let Jordan out.  Brady loves to watch Jordan run around outside.

4:15-4:50- Nap time for Brady and Jordan.

5:00- Time to eat!  Brady eats for 10 minutes.

5:15- Diaper change and playtime.  We play on his activity mat, in his activity center, and we play peek-a-boo together.

5:45- Storytime!  We read a few books together, and Brady reads one on his own.

6:10- Back downstairs and we play in the activity center again.

6:30- We walk to the mailbox and then play some more.  Then, Brady helps me get dinner ready.  Such a good helper!

7:30- I change Brady's diaper, give him a baby massage, put on his pj's and sleep sack...and I put him down again.  Cue the tears.  Sweet boy just wants his mommy to hold him, of course I obliged!

7:45- Brady nurses and drifts off to sleep!  Sweet dreams baby boy!

8:20- Time for mommy and daddy to eat!  Of course, I always have my eye on Brady!

Such a wonderful day with my baby boy!  I am so grateful for my week off with him. I honestly loved every minute of it!
