What a big day today was! You tried food for the first time! I was planning to hold out until you were 6 months old, but you have been waking up a lot during the night, so I thought we would try filling your belly a little more.
You had rice cereal with some of mommy's milk. You were all smiles getting ready for it, but once you tried it, you made the cutest yucky face. You had a few more bites and then refused. Silly girl!

Molly is 5 Months Old!
Molly, You are 5 Months Old Today!
What have you been up to?
* You wear size 3-6 month clothes and size 2 diapers (Target Brand- Up and Up)
* The biggest news this month is you started daycare. Mommy had to go back to work after a wonderful 4 months off with you. Your wonderful Nana came to watch you and Brady my first week back to work. At school, you have the same teachers Brady had when he was in the Infant Class (Ms. Amanda and Ms. Alysa). We love them, and we are so thankful they take such good care of you while Mommy and Daddy are at work. I miss you like crazy, and I can't wait to pick you and Brady up everyday. They say you are so sweet and rarely cry. You don't take very good naps at school. Most days they are between 20 minutes to an hour. You had a cold when you started, so you usually sleep in the swing or bouncer at school.
* We are still nursing, and I love it! It's such a great bonding time with you. I love that we both get to relax and enjoy that sweet time together. While you are at daycare, you take a bottle, of course. You are eating 4 ounces every 3 1/2 hours (9:30, 1:00). When you nurse, you eat every 3 - 3 1/2 hours and eat for about 15 minutes.
* You go to bed at 7:30 and during the school week, we wake you up at 5:45. You are just so happy when I wake you up, and it's a great start to my morning! You've started sleeping through the night, kind of. You are now back sleeping in your crib. You had a cold for a few weeks, so you slept in your rock and play. You've started waking up just about every hour. All I have to do is put your paci back in your mouth, and back to sleep you go. We repeat this about 5 times a night. Hopefully, we'll be able to both sleep through the night soon.
* You are still taking naps 2 hours after waking up from your last nap. You don't take a nap before you go to bed. You stay awake from the time I nurse you until it's time to nurse you (to go to bed) again.
* You've started laughing more, especially at Brady. He is the funniest person to you, and I love it! I hope you both always make each other laugh.
* We've been going to church every Sunday, and you love it! Your eyes get so big when they start playing music. I've loved having you stay with us during church, but you're getting busier and busier. Mommy and Daddy decided it was important for us to hear the message, so you went to the nursery today for the first time. You did great! When I picked you up, you were being held and you were laying your head on your sweet teachers shoulder. She was giving you a kiss on the head. I couldn't wait to get you in my arms!
* You've started rolling all over the place! I'll walk away for just a minute, and when I come back, you've rolled to the other side of the room.
* Things you love: Your family, eating, being held, putting things in your mouth, bath
* Things you don't love: When you can't see mommy, carseat (although you're getting better)
Molly Girl, What a sweet baby you are! Your Daddy and I always say how sweet you are! Your smile completely melts us! You, along with your brother, have completely stolen our hearts! You are such a perfect addition to our family, and we are beyond thankful for you!

Molly is 4 Months Old!
Molly, You are 4 Months Old today!
What have you been up to?
* You are still wearing 0-3 month clothes and are officially in size 2 diapers (Target Brand- Up and Up).
* You are doing great nursing! Yay! You eat every 3 hours, sometimes 3 1/2, and you nurse anywhere from 5 minutes to 30 minutes. If you nurse for 30 minutes, you are usually asleep for most of it. Daddy gave you your very first bottle this past weekend (7/19) and you ate 3 ounces. You took it like you've been doing it your whole life. Daddy loved feeding you, and I was a little bit sad. I was very relieved that you took your bottle, since I start back to work next week.
* We are trying to figure out your sleep. You are a light sleeper and started waking up every morning when daddy would turn on the shower. Since I'm going back to work next week, and will have to get up very early, we decided we needed to move you into your room. It wasn't easy, but I was hoping you would sleep better. So, we moved into your room this past Sunday (July 20). You seem to wake up more now that you're in your own room. You've decided you don't like to have your arms swaddled, because you want your hands in your mouth. I was making multiple trips to your room each night to reswaddle you. Last night, I decided to leave your arms out. You weren't breaking out of your swaddle, but you were waking up because you get startled now. You were waking up sometime between 3-5 to eat, but now you've moved it to around 1:30. I'm hoping you will soon start sleeping through the night.
* You are ready to take a nap 2 hours after you wake up from your last nap. If we don't get you down at that time, you start getting cranky. You definatly have a tired cry, and mommy knows when you are ready for your sleep. You sleep best when we hold you, but you nap in your swing most of the time. Mommy tries to hold you for a nap at least once a day. I love it as much as you!
* On July 1, you gave us your first real laugh. It was the sweetest sound! You had made a few small chuckles at mommy, but this was a full on laugh. We were invited to a play date in our neighborhood, and one of the moms started singing "Hey Diddle Diddle" to you. You thought it was hysterical. Mommy was able to record it and share it with everybody. We try so hard to get you to laugh, but you don't share them too much, yet. You also belly laughed at Jordan last week. Brady and I were throwing the ball to eachother in the house. Jordan was running around trying to get it, and you thought it was hysterical. That was the first time daddy really heard your laugh. I was telling my friend, Brook Cobb, about your first laugh when you started laughing at me. It was so sweet and definitely made my heart feel like it was going to explode.
* You celebrated your first 4th of July! We had a fun relaxed day at home. Uncle Tony came to visit and we grilled out. You went to bed before we did fireworks.
* Mommy and Daddy left you with a babysitter for the first time, Nana, so we could go on our first date since you were born. You slept most of the time, but when you were awake you cried. I'm pretty sure you missed Mommy, because as soon as I walked in the door, you stopped crying. I missed you too!
* You rolled over from your tummy to your back the first time on July 11. You had been trying to roll over, but finally did it when daddy, mommy, Brady, and Nana were all here to see it. You are so close to rolling from your back to your tummy.
* You've found your feet and it's so sweet! You love to grab your sweet little toes.
* You went to church for the second time this past Sunday. You stayed with Mommy and Daddy and were a perfect little angel! You enjoyed the music, then slept through the message.
* You had your first visit to the Aquarium yesterday. Daddy took the day off work, so we could have one last summer hoorah. Mommy carried you in the Bjorn and you loved it. You looked around at all the animals and didn't cry at all.
* Things you love: Mommy, Daddy, Brady, Jordan, sucking on your hands, being held, nursing, sleeping, TV, blowing rasberries (July 20), being talked to.
* Things you do not like: Your carseat, having your arms swaddled, when mommy leaves.
My sweet Molly girl, Happy 4 Month Birthday! These past 4 months have been filled with so much joy! You continue to make our hearts feel like they are going to burst every day. Your sweet personality is showing more and more, and I love everything about you. I look forward to what the next month brings. I love you so so much!

Molly is 1 Month Old!
Molly, You are 1 Month Old!
Here's what you've been up to:
* You are still wearing Newborn Diapers (Pampers Swaddlers), all Newborn clothes, and the tiniest little socks I've ever seen. You are a little thing but growing everyday! I feel like this past week, you've started adding some chunk!
* We are breastfeeding. Although I love this time with you, and am so glad we are doing this, it has been painful. I'm using a shield now to help, and I'm thankful it does. You nurse for about 30 minutes each time and go 3 hours between feedings, sometimes less.
* You are doing great sleeping at night! We do your dreamfeed at 10:30, then you usually sleep until around 3:00 (sometimes earlier, sometimes later) and you eat again. Sometimes you go right back to sleep and sometimes you just want to hang out for a bit. I don't mind, because I know how quickly these days will pass, and I know I will miss them so much! You then wake up between 7-8 to eat again.
* Our weeks are a little busy, but I try to take plenty of time at home to just hold you and enjoy you. Brady is going to school right now, so the mornings are a rush. I feed you, get him ready, get myself ready, and leave to take him to school. We spend about an hour and a half each day taking him to school. I feel bad that you're in a car seat so much, but I do enjoy our alone time during the day. I loved this time with Brady, and I'm loving it with you.
* Speaking of being in the car, you do great! You've only cried a handful of times when we've gone somewhere. We went to Macon, GA for Easter, and you did great! That was your longest carride so far. Brady loves sitting next to you and will often hold your hand and talk to you.
* You are the luckiest little girl to have such a wonderful big brother! He loves you so much, and it completely melts my heart! He calls you "Baby", but he knows your name. He loves to give you hugs, kisses, pat your back, rub his head on you. He really loves you! I look forward to seeing your relationship grow! I pray you can be bestfriends. I am so thankful for my siblings, and I know that having a sibling is one of the best gifts we could give you!
* You love to be held, and we hold you a lot! I've started to put you down more, and you are building your tolerance up. You prefer to be held against our chests, and I love how you nuzzle your sweet little head into my chest. Sometimes you will wrap your arm around mine, and it feels like a little baby hug. I love love love it, and I just squeeze you back.
* You love the bath! You are such a girl already!
* When we are holding you against our chest, you will lift your head up and look around.
* You do not like to have your diaper changed and make it somewhat difficult at times to change it. You draw your little legs up (like you were in my belly), so it's hard to get all the crevices. There have been many times where you'll pee the minute I take off your diaper, resulting in an outfit change.
* You lost your umbilical cord on April 6, the day before you turned 2 weeks old.
* You've had lots of family come visit you! Grandpa and Grandma, Uncle Tony, Nana and Paw Paw, Aunt Amy, Uncle Dave, and Ava. We've enjoyed having a house full, and I've enjoyed having people love on you and meet you! Everyone loves you!
* You celebrated your first holiday, Easter! Nana, Paw Paw, Aunt Amy, Uncle Dave, and Ava came to visit and stay with us. We went down to Macon on Saturday and you met lots of Daddy's side of the family. We went to church for Easter Service and then came home for a yummy brunch, egg hunt, and Easter basket. You recived an Easter book, pink ball, and a toy for your carseat.
* We love you so so much Molly! You have been the sweetest addition to our family! We love you so much and are so excited to watch you grow!

Molly is 2 Weeks Old!
Our sweet Molly girl,
You are 2 weeks old! Just like I did with Brady, I want to do posts about you. I love looking back and reading what he was up to, and I look forward to reading your's too!
We are loving the time we are getting to spend with you and learning all about you. At 2 weeks old, you are such a joy. Things you love include being held, being fed, and sleeping. Things you do not love include being put down and having your diaper changed. You seem to enjoy being in your carseat, since you rarely cry.
Daddy and Mommy took you to your 2 week doctor's appointment on Monday (4/7/14). You weigh 7 lbs 13 oz and are 21 inches long. Your head circumference is 13.5 inches. You are doing a great job growing!
You are eating every 2 - 3 hours during the day and 4-5 hours at night. You are doing a great job. You are difficult to burp and have been gassy. I've started giving you gripe water to see if it helps.
You had your newborn pictures taken last week and were the sweetest little model. I can't wait to see all of your sweet pictures. I know I will treasure them forever.
Your big brother turned 3, and we had a fun day celebrating him with you here. I'm pretty sure you were his favorite birthday present this year. He loves you so much and is so gentle with you. He loves to touch you, rub his head against you, and hold you. He calls you "baby". It's very sweet. I look foward to seeing your relationship blossom. I pray that you will be best friends.
We love you so much! We are so so thankful that you are ours. I can't wait to see you grow, but hopefully, it will not go by very quickly.

This boy...
This boy is all boy...
He loves to be outside and hunt for acorns,
and observe acorns...
and throw acorns.
He is such a fun loving little boy,
but has a serious side too.
He is mischevious,
fast,
and determined,
but also laid back.
His smile is brigher than the sun,
and melts my heart everytime.
He is full of joy,
and loves to make us laugh.
This boy is our little man, and we love him so much!

Weight: 28.8 lb = 85th percentile
Height 32.5 inches = 50th percentile
Head Circumference 19.5 in = 85th percentile

Head Circumference 19.5 in = 85th percentile
Sizing:
You wear 12-18 month clothing and 6 1/2 size shoes. You wear a size 4 diaper (Pamper's Cruisers).
Schedule:
This is a typical weekday schedule for you:
6:00 a.m.: Rise and Shine! Mommy wakes you up and we cuddle in bed for about 10 minutes.
6:10 a.m.: Daddy changes your diaper and gets you dressed.
6:20 a.m.: We head downstairs, where I fix your hair and you and daddy take Jordan outside.
6:30 a.m.: We leave for school.
6:50 a.m.: We arrive at school. Mommy takes you to your room and you sit down for breakfast with your friends. Mommy hangs out for a few minutes, since I hate to leave you, then kisses you goodbye, and I head to work.
9:00 a.m.: You eat snack.
11:00 a.m.: Time for lunch.
12:00 p.m.: Nap time. You sleep on a mat at school without a paci.
2:30 p.m.: Time to wake up. Your teachers tell me that they always have to wake you up.
3:00 p.m.: Outside time
3:30 p.m.: Snack time and mommy arrives.
4:00 p.m.: We arrive home and play. We usually take Jordan outside and play outside for a few minutes.
4:00-6:00 p.m.: Mommy and Brady play.
6:00 p.m.: Time for dinner
6:30 p.m.: Bath time and daddy gets home
7:00 p.m.: Play time
7:30 p.m.: Sweet dreams. Mommy and Daddy read you a book and then daddy leaves while mommy sings to you (I always sing "You Are My Sunshine" and "Jesus Loves You") and rocks you. I put you in your crib while your still awake and you fall asleep within 10 minutes.
During the weekend, you wake up around 6:00. Mommy wakes up early with you on Saturday's, so Daddy can sleep in. When you wake up on Sunday's, Mommy gets you out of the crib to snuggle with you. Sometimes you fall asleep in bed with us...I love that! Other times, you are ready to get going on with the day. Daddy will get up with you, while Mommy sleeps for a little bit longer. I usually wake up around 7:00, and go grocery shopping.
The morning consists of playing with mommy and daddy, a snack at 9:00, lunch at 11:00, and nap time at 12:00. Mommy or Daddy holds you during nap time if we are home. You've only taken a nap once in your crib. We love holding you during your nap time. You take about a 1 1/2 hour - 2 hour nap, then it's playtime again. We usually get out for a little bit after your nap. Then it's home again and we play. You eat dinner at 6:00, take a bath, then in bed around 7:30-8:00.
Talking:
You can say so much, and you understand even more. Here are the words you say on a regular basis without prompting: ma ma, da da, dog, duck, hot, cheese, milk, mo (more), pease (please), moon (you also love to find the moon whenever we go outside and it's dark), ci (for paci), side (for outside), ball, tractor, book, up, no, yellow (whenever you see a yellow object), blue (whenever you see a blue object), phone, hello, mouse, house, baby, Brady, shoes, boon (balloon), bubbles, bath, oval, nana (banana), ight (light), eyes, nose, off, uh oh, choo choo (train) (I know I'm missing a ton more, but I can't think of them right now.)
You can say the following sounds dog (you stick your tongue out and pant), cat (mow), elephant (you stick your arm up in the air like it's the trunk), duck, snack (ssss....), monkey, tiger, lion, car (vroom, vroom), train (choo choo while holding your arm up), bird, (I know I'm missing a ton more, but I can't think of them right now.)
You understand so much too! Tonight I asked you to close your closet door, and you walked right over to it and closed it. I can ask you things, and if you don't want it, you will say "no". You're REALLY good at saying "no". You have an animals picture above the dresser in your room, and if we ask you, "Where is the butterfly?", you will point to the butterfly (and flap your arms). If we ask you, "Where is the snake?", you will point to the snack and say, "Ssssss..." You know most of the 26 animals on the picture. When we read books, and I ask you where something is, you can point to it. For example in the book Goodnight Moon if I ask you, "Where is the fire?", you will point to the fire. Whenever we read a book with a flower or see one, you will lean down to smell it. When we say "Touchdown Auburn", you throw your hands in the air. You learned that in about 2 minutes. If I ask you where your firetruck is, you will go get your firetruck. Whenever we are out in public and someone starts talking to you, you will point to me and say, "Ma Ma." It's like you are introducing me to everyone. It's very cute!
Food:
You are a pretty good eater. You definitely know what you like and don't. For breakfast, you usually eat yogurt, bananas, eggs, or sausage. I'm not very creative when it comes to breakfast.
For snacks you like cheese, Annie's Cheddar Bunnies, Veggie Chips, Baby Food Squeeze Pouches (I like these because you get a veggie and a fruit), Yougurt Melts, cookies, Ma Ma's pancakes (I use buckwheat flower and add bananas, blueberries, applesaude, and spinach. You LOVE these. They are probably your favorite snack.)
For lunch and dinner you like homemade chicken nuggets (chicken, italian and panko bread crumbs, and parmeasean cheese), homemade turkey meatballs, hummus and turkey wraps, pizza, mac n' cheese, and cheese ravioli.
You love blueberries, strawberries, edamame, peas, corn, rice, mandarin oranges, avacado, icecream, and sharing cheerios with mommy.
Favorite things:
Your favorite things to do are to read, play ball, play with your tractor, and watch Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. You could read all day long, and I love that you already love it so much. We read a lot of books at home, but your favories are (what you call them are in parentheses) Go Dog Go (Dog Dog), Goodnight Moon (moon), and On the Night You Were Born (moon). You love to play ball and you have so many of them. Whenever we go to somewhere, and they have balls for sale and you spot them, we usually end up buying you one. You love them and love to throw them. You also love to play with your tractor. You love to push it around the house. You love for mommy to play with you, so you will give me the dump truck. You call it ma ma's. If I try to play with your tractor, you will point to the dump truck and say, "Ma ma" and then point to the tractor and say, "Brady." You don't like to share your tractor. We push them all around the house, and you like to be the leader and have me follow you. You LOVE Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. You call it "Dog Dog". You pay really close attention to it and you will smile and laugh during it. You understand so much of what they are saying and doing. One day you were watching it, and they were teaching a bird how to fly. Goofy said to hold out your wings and flap, and you did it. On your own. I never showed you. I was so amazed! You love the Hot Dog song and love dancing to it. You really love to dance to any music. Whenever music comes on, you will start dancing. You are an adorable dancer!
You also really enjoy puzzles and you are really good at putting them together. You like to do your animal and shape one at the same time. I'll ask you, "Where is the oval?", and you will pick up the oval and put it where it belongs. You are SO smart! You love to play outside. You love finding the acorns and bringing them to me. You also enjoy bath time, which now you've started taking showers in our shower. You love to fill up containers with water, and transfer the water from the containers. You also love to have the shower door closed and will sign please and say "peas" for us to close it.
You also love trains! For your 18 month birthday, we bought you a train pass for 14 train rides on the train at the mall. Whenever we go to the mall, you always run for the train. Whenever you see a train, you say, "Choo Choo", while pulling your arm down.
You love to make us laugh. If we start laughing at something you are doing, you will get the sweetest grin on your face, and keep doing it. You make us laugh ALL the time. You are such a funny little boy!

So Smart:
You are such a smart little boy! Your teachers tell me all the time how smart you are and how quickly you pick up new things. Speaking of school, you are now in the Toddler Room.
You know the colors red, green, blue, and yellow. You have a toy that comes with a wooden mallet and you bang the pegs down. We take out the pegs (2 of each color), and I'll ask you, "Where is the green?" and you'll pick up both of the green pegs. You do this for each color.
You know where your eyes, nose, mouth, tongue, teeth, ears, head, hair, belly button, toes, hands, and fingers are. You love to find them on us too!
Brady, I can't believe you are 18 months old! These months are flying by so fast! I am so thankful that you are a healthy, happy, sweet, baby boy! And that you are mine! You bring so much joy to our lives! You are just amazing!
I love you more than you'll ever know!
