Pumpkin in a Pumpkin

When we took Brady to the pumpkin patch, we picked out a big pumpkin with plans to do this.  I couldn't post just 1, 5, or even 10 pictures, so 20 it is!  Enjoy the pictures of our little pumpkin in a pumpkin!

First Halloween

Brady celebrated his first Halloween today!

He wore a cute little Halloween shirt to school!

He was a monkey for Halloween!

Do what monkey's do, eat bananas!  Brady will usually just suck on the banana, but today he took a bite out of it!  I dropped my camera and grabbed the chunk out of his mouth!  I guess that is his way to scare me on Halloween!

We didn't do any trick or treating and Brady didn't get any candy, but I think he had a great first Halloween!  We certainly loved celebrating another holiday with our boy! 

7 Months Old

(Pictures will be added later.  There was a shadow in all the pictures I took, so I'll retake them tomorrow.)

Brady, You are SEVEN months old!

What have you been up to?

*  You are eating milk every 3 1/2 hours during the week (6:00, 9:30, 1:00, 4:30, 8:00).  This month we have also added in oatmeal at 11:00 and a vegetable or fruit around 6:00.  When you have a bottle, you eat 8 oz. and you nurse for about 10 minutes.  Sometimes shorter, sometimes longer. 

*  You have started eating food this month!  So far you have eaten rice cereal (didn't like), oatmeal (now you like), sweet potato (not a fan), squash (dislike), banana (love), and avacado (dislike).  You've also sucked on one of mommy's apples and you loved it!  Overall you're not that intersted in food, which makes it difficult to feed you.  You know how to eat, but you're just not that into it. 

*  You are still wearing a size 3 diaper (Pampers Swaddlers).  You are wearing 3-6, 6-9, 6-12 month clothes.  It all depends on the brand. 

*  You take either 2 naps during the day, a 30 minute nap and about an hour or longer nap, or 3 naps a day, 3 30-minute naps.  You usually don't fall asleep on the way home anymore like you used to, and most of the time you don't take a nap at home in the afternoons.  Mommy is trying to get you to take one, because you get a little fussy if you don't. 

*  You would rather sit up or have us stand you up.  You are not a fan of laying on your back or being on your tummy anymore.

*  You are so active and into everything!  I love this about you.  You are so curious!  You also love to put everthing in your mouth, well except food!

*  You have become very attached to me this month and are not interested in people you don't really know holding you.  The first time I noticed this was when our friends The Urech's came to visit.  Mommy let them hold you and you started crying for me.  You'll usually let Daddy hold you, but sometimes you just want your mommy!  This is also something you usually only do during the week and not so much on the weekends. 

*  You celebrated your first Halloween today!  You were a little monkey and were so adorable!

*  You rode in the seat part of a grocery cart for the first time last week, and you loved it!  You just love to look around and know what's going on.  So many people at the store commented on how cute you are.  Little old ladies are pretty crazy about you!  I don't blame them!

Brady,

You are now closer to being a year old than you were to being in my belly!  I can't believe how fast time is going.  I wish it would slow down, but I'm also having so much fun seeing you develop into this little person with such a fun personality!  I love watching you discover and learn new things!  It's so fun to sit back and watch you take in this world!  I love you so so much!  It's difficult to put into words how much I love you, but it takes my breath away!  I thank God for blessing us with you and for choosing me to be your mommy!

Fall Festival

Brady's school had a fall festival (Oct. 22), so we took our little monkey!

Mommy and Brady danced to "No More Monkey's Jumping on the Bed".  However, Mommy will let Brady can jump on the bed.

We had a great time at Brady's first fall festival!  There wasn't much for him to do, but it was fun showing off our little monkey!

My Little Pumpkin at the Pumpkin Patch

We took our little pumpkin to the pumpkin patch (Oct. 15).  So many people that I know have raved about Burt's Pumpkin Patch, so that's where we went.  It was a little over an hour from our house, but we had a great time! 

Their pumpkins were plentiful and ginormous!

We went on the hayride and saw talking pumpkins! 

After the hayride, we had some pumpkin picking to do!  Brady decided he wanted this one to be his very first pumpkin.  Of course, Mommy and Daddy obliged!

We had a great time and we think we have the best "pumpkin" in the patch!
