Brady, You are FIVE months old!
What have you been up to?
* While you are at daycare you eat every 3 1/2 hours (9:30 and 1:00), and when we get home you nurse every 3 hours (4:00, 7:00, 10:00). You take 6 oz in your bottle and nurse for about 15 minutes. When you fall asleep nursing, I stop you at 30 minutes.
* You still wear a size 3 diaper (Pamper's Swaddlers). I think you'll be in this size for awhile.
* You wear size 3-6 month clothes, but have outgrown a few of them.
* You started daycare this month since mommy had to go back to work! I cried and cried about it, but I know you enjoy it, so it makes it easier on me! However, it's never easy to leave you! I call once a day to check on you and your teachers send me pictures during the day, since they know I miss you SO much!
* You are rolling all over the place! I will lay you down on the floor and you roll, turn, and scoot yourself across the room! The other day I watched you as I layed you on your activity mat and you moved yourself off of it, across the rug, and under your swing! You are such a little wiggle worm! I think you may be crawling soon! Slow down sweet boy, slow down!
* You are even more in love with Jordan now! Everyday when we get home, you look for her, and the second you see her you smile so big! You've also started laughing at her! You think she is so funny! She is your favorite toy! You even try to grab for her now and have gotten a hold of her fur a few times.
* You are such a happy squealer! You love to hear yourself, and we love to hear you too! You make the cutest face when you squeal, you look like you are concentrating so hard on it. This past weekend we were at Pottery Barn kids in your Baby Bjorn facing forward and you were squealing so loudly! Everyone thought it was so cute and would talk back to you! I could listen to your squeal all day!
* You have started grabbing at your feet! They haven't made it into your mouth yet, but you try to lean forward and eat them!
* You love having something in your mouth! If you are playing on the floor, you will suck on your toys. If I'm holding you, you will suck on my fingers, or my knees, or my hair. Whatever you can get a hold of, you put it in your mouth!
* You work so hard to grab things! You concentrate so hard to get what you want! You love to grab daddy's shirt and my earrings lately! Today you wanted to grab and eat your 5 month sticker!
* You love to touch our faces! When I rock you, you rub your hand on my face and put your hand on my lips! You love for me to kiss them! You also love to grab our noses and squeeze really hard. It's so cute, so we don't mind the pain.
* You love to splish splash during bathtime! We bathe you on the kitchen counter in your whale tub and you kick your legs and get water everywhere! I laugh so hard when you do this! I always end up soaking wet, but we have the BEST time! We tried, last night, to move your tub into our tub, but you were not happy about it! I know you love to be up and looking around! Back to the counter it is!
* You are such a curious baby! Your teachers at daycare call you nosy! You love to look around and know what's going on! You're my little Curious Brady!
This is your schedule during the week:
6:00 am- Rise and Shine! Mommy wakes you up to nurse. You eat for about 15 minutes and then daddy burps you, changes your diaper, and gets you dressed.
6:30 am- Off to school! We get there around 6:50 and you are the first one there. Mommy hangs out with you for about 10 minutes and then I have to leave. I hate leaving you! It's never easy!
6:50-3:15- You are at school. You eat 6 oz. at 9:30 and 1:00. You usually take a nap around 8:30 and sleep for an hour, and another one at 11 and sleep for another hour.
3:15- Mommy picks you up! The best part of my day!
3:45- We are home and we take Jordan outside. You love to watch her.
4:00- Time to eat! You nurse for about 20 minutes. After you nurse, we lay in bed talking. You love to touch my face during this time. I love this time with you so much!
4:45-7:00- We head downstairs and we play. You usually take a nap around 6 for about 30 minutes.
7:00- Time to eat again! You nurse for around 15 minutes. Then, we head downstairs and you sit in mommy's lap while we eat dinner. Sometimes I'll put you in your vibrating chair, but you really love to be at the table with us.
7:30-8:30: We play and get a bath if it's bath day (every other day). We put your pjs on and you usually fall asleep around 8:30. Mommy usually holds you but sometimes I'll put you in your swing if I need to do something.
8:30-10:00- You are sleeping.
10:00- Time for your dream feed. I nurse you for about 20 minutes.
10:30- Time for bed! Sweet dreams little one!
Every month, Mommy buys you a new toy for your monthly birthday! You helped to pick this out at Target yesterday.
Brady, I can't believe another month has passed already! Each month is so bittersweet! I love every new stage you are in, but get sad that you are growing so fast! Of course, I am happy you are growing! You are such a sweet, happy baby! Everyone that meets you loves you! You are the most amazing person I've ever known! I love you SO much baby boy! I can't wait to see what your 5th month brings!
