3 Months Old & 13 Weeks Old

Brady, You are THREE months old!

What have you been up to?

*  You are a great eater, and it shows!  You eat every 3-3 1/2 hours during the day and anywhere from 4-9 hours at night!  You nurse anywhere from 9-30 minutes each feeding.  Most feedings are around 12 minutes.  You are still 100% on momma's milk!

*  The past 2 nights you have slept through the night!!!  You have a "dream feed" at 11 then you sleep until about 7:30.  When you don't sleep through the night, you only wake up once, around 4 to eat and then you go right back to sleep until 8. 

*  You wear a size 1 diaper (Pamper's Swaddlers), but we are about to move to size 2 tomorrow!  You only have a few 0-3 month outfits that still fit you and we've moved into 3-6 month clothes!  I'm always so sad when you outgrow one of your outfits!

*  During the day, you take 30 minute naps every 3 hours.  Sometimes you'll surprise me and take an hour to an hour and a half nap!  You did that this morning on my chest!  If you wake up from a nap before your next feeding you only want to be held.  If we try to put you down you cry!  Lucky for you and us, we love to hold you!
 

*  You love to suck on your fists or anything that gets close to your mouth!  You try to take a paci but have a hard time latching onto it!  If you do latch on, you'll spit it out and then put your fists in your mouth!  The other day you had all of your fingers in your mouth! 

*  You are such a happy baby and smile all the time!  Your smiles are the sweetest and they melt my heart every.single.time!  I don't know how I'm ever going to tell you no, but I'm sure I will!  You also love to talk, especially in the morning!  I can tell when you think something is funny because you make an almost laugh!  I know your first real laugh is just around the corner!

*  You still love to play on your activity mat!  You are much more interactive with it now!  You love to kick your legs and hit the toys dangling from it!  It's so much fun to watch you on it!  You tolerate tummy time for a few minutes every day!  You can hold your head up while your on your tummy for a few minutes then you resort to sucking on the blanket!

*  You can now roll onto your side!  You usually do it when you're just in your diaper! 

*  You love to watch TV.  I have to turn it off during the day at times, because it always catches your attention!

*  We went on our first family vacation this month to the beach!  You were such a happy baby, except for at dinner time when you wanted to be held.  We had such a great time, and we look forward to many more family vacations!   

*  You LOVE bathtime!  You smile so big and kick your legs during it!  This month you started trying to situp while in the bath! 

*  You have become quite the drooler!  You drool a lot especially after you have finished eating your fists!  Your drooly kisses are the BEST!

Brady, You are a dream, wish, prayer come true!  I love you more than you will ever know!  You have my heart and every fiber in my body!  I love you sweet sweet boy!

A Day In the Life (Of an almost 3 Month Old)

I want to remember what our days are like while Brady is a baby!  I documented what a typical day was for us in his 2 month post and decided to document today in pictures!

7:30-10:40

Brady woke up at 7:30 after sleeping through the night for the 3rd time!  Woo hoo!  Daddy played in bed with him while I made breakfast for John and me (green smoothies...so good!).  Brady nursed for 13 minutes and then we layed in bed with eachother playing and talking!  This is my favorite time of the day with him!  He is so happy and we have the BEST time!

After we played in bed, Brady took a 30 minute nap on my chest.  After he woke up, I took a shower while he sat in his vibrating chair in the bathroom!  I like to be able to see him at all times!

He started getting fussy, so I layed him in bed to watch cartoons while I finished getting ready!  Jordan decided to join him!

10:40-1:40

Brady nursed for 19 minutes.  When he was finished we headed downstairs for bathtime!  He loves getting a bath, and I love giving him one!  This is also my favorite time of the day with him, I have 2!

After bathtime he layed on the floor while I gave him a baby massage!  Today he practiced rolling over on his side!

 He got dressed then tried out his jumperoo activity gym for a few minutes!  He's a little to small for it right now, so we'll try again in a few weeks!  He also played on his activity mat!

After playing, he took a 30 minute nap in his swing!

He then helped me make lunch for daddy and me!

1:40-3:30

Time to eat again.  Brady nursed for 11 minutes and fell asleep for a few minutes in my arms.  Once he woke up it was time for a diaper change and then we headed out to run errands!

Brady smiles all the time, but it is so hard to get it on camera since it's in front of my face.  Today, while putting him in his carseat, I held out the camera to catch him giving me sweet smiles!  I love these pictures!

 We headed to Target, Buy Buy Baby, and Sonic for a strawberry limeade!  While we were running errands he took a nap.  When we got home he woke up and we played!

4:30-7:30

Brady nursed for 17 minutes and then it was time to play!   

He did tummy time...

and we did airplane!

 He took a 35 minute nap, and then we headed upstairs to read a few books! 

He also got his diaper changed!  He loves to have his diaper changed, especially in his room!  He loves to look at his "friends" on the wall and kick his legs and wave his arms!  He gets so excitd!

We then headed downstairs to slow dance...then it was time to eat again!

7:30-11:00

Brady nursed for 30 minutes.  It was longer this time, since he fell asleep!  I put him into his pj's and we skyped with his grandparents!

He started getting fussy which means he is tired!  He fell asleep at 9 and is now sleeping on his daddy's chest!

 

It's almost 11:00 here, so we are about to head upstairs for his "dream feed" and then off to bed!

It was a wonderful day in the life of an almost 3 month old!

First Family Vacation

We went to Panama City Beach for our first family vacation (June 17-22).  It was so nice to get away and enjoy time with just the 3 of us! 

 Our first day there (Saturday) we went to Seaside for lunch, ate at the Taco Bar, shopped a bit, then headed to Destin for more shopping at the outlets and dinner at McGuires (John's favorite restaurant at the beach).  We always take a picture kissing the moose and kept the tradition going with Brady!  After dinner, we stopped at Shakes to get a frozen custard!  I make John stop there everytime we go to Destin!

On Sunday, Father's Day, Brady got his first taste of the beach!  We went down for an hour in the morning and made sure to keep him under the shade the majority of the time!

After experiencing the ocean water, Brady and I sat under the umbrella and he slept in my arms!  It was so peaceful listening to the ocean waves and there was a nice breeze!  He slept great!

Later that day, we headed out to Pier Park!  They have a really nice Pier, so we went for a nice walk!  We also bought Brady a souvenir....an airbrushed onesie!  We then headed home and later that night went to Boatyard for dinner!

On Monday, we hung out at the beach house for most of the day.  It was SO hot, and we didn't want Brady out in the heat for a long time!  That night we headed back to Destin to eat dinner at Lousianna Lagniappe..yum!  Brady insisted on being held the entire time, so we ate in shifts!  We didn't mind and it made for a nice long dinner!

On Tuesday, we went back to the beach in the morning for an hour!  Brady took another nap on the beach while John and I took turns holding Brady and working on our tans!  For lunch we headed back to Seaside!  It's one of our favorite places at the beach!  It's such a cute little area where people ride bikes.  We ate lunch at Bud n' Alley's overlooking the ocean!  So pretty!  We then headed back to the beach house and hung out and played.  Before dinner we headed back to the beach to get a few more pictures of Brady.  We had dinner at Bayou Bills!  Brady wanted to be held the entire time, so we ate in shifts again!

On Wednesday we packed up and headed home.  We left around noon and drove to Enterprise to eat lunch at John's favorite place, Larrys!

We stopped to feed Brady and he tried to drive us home!

Before we left on Wednesday, I stood in the beachhouse and thought about the next time we would be there and of course I cried.  Next time, Brady will be running around, he won't be a baby anymore needing to be held and carried around.  Last time we were there I had just found out 2 days before that I was pregnant, and this time we had Brady with us!

We had such a wonderful first family vacation and made so many great memories!

Celebrating Daddy

John celebrated his first Father's Day while we were at the beach!  It was a wonderful day filled with presents, relaxing on the beach, shopping, and going out to eat!

We forgot to take pictures of John and Brady with Brady's special shirt, so we took them when we got home.

Brady worked very hard on John's Father's Day gift!  He did his first masterpiece for his daddy to hang in his office!  He painted it using his handprints and footprints!  I loved it and so did John!

I told John if his office building ever catches on fire, to grab this and run!



Brady is so lucky to have such a wonderful daddy, and John is so lucky to have such a wonderful little boy!

I'm lucky to have both of them!
