11 Months Old

Brady, You are ELEVEN months old!

What have you been up to?

*  We are eleven months into nursing, and you are still doing great!  You nurse/take a bottle 5 times a day (6:00, 9:30, 1:00, 4:30, 7:30).  You also eat 3 meals a day (8:00- oatmeal, 11:00- baby food, 6:00- baby food).  You also have snacks between those too!  You know what you like and don't like.  Your favorite foods are avacados (in bite size pieces- not smashed) and yogurt (you go crazy when we give it to you).  There are lots of other things you like, but you LOVE those!  You also are crazy about Yogurt Melts.  If you see the bag, you get so excited!  I used them to get you to sit still so I could take these pictures.

*  You now wear a size 4 diaper (Pampers Cruisers).  They are a little big, but you were having blowouts in your size 3's.  You've yet to have one in the 4's.  I can't believe my baby boy is in a size 4 diaper.  They are huge compared to the newborn diapers.  I can't believe your little bottom has grown so much!

*  You are wearing 6-12 month clothes (except Old Navy- their 12 month outfits are too small).

(You are checking out the yogurt melts bag in this pic.)

*  You are now in the First Steps class at school!  They began transitioning you in there on Monday and you've done great!  Today, they officially made the switch which was sooner than they said, but you are doing so well!  You are now on their nap schedule, which means you're down to one.  (I'm going to do a post about your new class).  You're really enjoying your new class and mommy and daddy are SO proud of you!

*  You talk so much!  It's really just baby jabber but it's so fun to listen to you talk to us!  You say dada all the time and baba.  You're getting close to saying mama, hopefully!  I can't wait to hear it!  I say it to you all the time and you will smile at me and say "dada".  You also shake your head nooooo when you don't want something!  I have no idea how you learned that, but you do it!  You definitely know how to tell us when you don't want something!

*  Your teachers at school tell me all the time that you are so smart!  They say that you are advanced for your age!

*  You still love the show Doodlebops.  It's the only thing on TV you watch, and you love it so much!  You get so excited when it comes on and you clap along to the songs!  You also love when Mommy or Daddy pick you up and dance with you to the music!  It's adorable!

*  You also still LOVE all things Jordan!  When we get home from school you head straight to her dog bowl.  Mommy moves it before you can get to it, since you try to eat her food, and you get upset with me!  You love to play ball with Jordan, and you just laugh and laugh and get so excited!  It's so cute!

*  You are quite the crawler!  When you want to get somewhere, you can get there very quickly!  You are also pulling up on everything.  If it's something that's flat on the ground, you try to pull up on it!

*  On Valentine's Day, you decided to give us a very sweet surprise, and show us how you can climb the stairs!  You can get up them quickly, but you don't try that often!  You love to stand on the landing and look through the spindles and laugh!

*  You visited the zoo for the first time this month, and you loved it!  You really enjoyed watching the animals and petting some of them!  We had so much fun with you and love making memories with you!

*  You have 4 teeth!  Your 2 bottom teeth and two of your top teeth!  I miss your gummy smile, but I love seeing your pearly whites!

*  You've starting giving kisses and they are the best!  You're the best kisser I know!  I'll make the kissy sound, and you will open your mouth wide open and place your mouth over my lips!  I love it so much!  It melts my heart!

 *  The past few nights, you've become a terrible sleeper!  When I lay you down in your crib, you pop up and pull yourself up and cry!  We've been trying to let you cry it out, but we haven't had any success with that.  It usually takes an hour- two hours before you will fall asleep.  Then, you've been waking up around 2 and crying.  We let you cry it out one night, and you cried for 4 hours straight, from 2-6.  It was torture for me and I watched you on the monitor the entire time.  You did the same thing last night, and my mommy heart couldn't take it.  I held you while you slept.  I'm hoping you will go back to being a great sleeper soon, please!

(You were so sad that we ran out of yogurt melts!)

*  A few other things you love:  pushing your walkers around, turning anything into a walker and pushing it around (my phone, a hanger, books), playing with the tupperware, bathtime (this is probably your favorite thing), being wrapped up in a towel after your bath and being held like a little baby, taking things out of drawers or baskets, and your paci.

*  Things you dislike:  diaper changes, getting dressed, having your nose cleaned, bedtime, being in the car for too long, running out of yougurt melts.

Brady, I can't believe we are entering your last month before you turn 1 and that I am planning your first birthday.  I know I say this every month, but it has truly been a wonderful 11 months!  You are turning into such a big boy, but you will always be mommy and daddy's baby!  I think you are the sweetest, cutest, smartest baby in the world, and no one will ever be able to tell me differently!  The love I have for you far exceeds anything that I ever thought was capable!  I am so proud to be your mommy!  I love you baby boy!
