10 Months Old

Brady, You are TEN months old!

 What have you been up to?

*  You are such a good eater, and you have know what you like and what you don't like.  You take a nurse or have a bottle 5 times a day (6:00, 9:30, 1:00, 4:30, 7:30).  You take 7 ounces in your bottle and nurse for about 8 minutes.  You eat oatmeal with juice in the morning at 8:00, eat 2 ounces of baby food plus snacks (puffs, yogurt melts) at 11:00, and eat 4 ounces of baby food for dinner at 6:00. 

*  You like all fruits (bananas, apples, pears, blueberries, avacado) that I've given you and dislike green veggies.  You LOVE yougurt!  You get so excited when you see it!  You also LOVE yogurt melts and you know what they are when you see the bag.  You've also started eating munchies and teething biscuits (basically a healthy baby friendly cheeto puff) this month and seem to really enjoy them.   

*  You still wear a size 3 diaper (Pamper's Swaddlers).  We are about to switch your size the next batch of diapers we buy you.  You still have blowouts every so often, so we are going to see if a larger size will help. 

*  You wear anywhere from 6-12 month clothing.  I've loved dressing you in the winter in your adorable jeans and hoodies! 

*  On Jan. 7, you had your 9 month doctor's appointment and you weighed 22 lbs. and your 28 inches long.

*  Speaking of clothes, we bought you your first pair of big boy shoes this month!  We went to Stride Rite and had you measured and picked out a prewalker shoe.  They are adorable and you look adorable in them!  You wear a size 4 1/2 wide, although they are a little big.  You can easily slip them off your feet.

 

*  You take 2 naps a day, still.  One after your 9:30 bottle/nurse and one after your 1:00 bottle/nurse.  Sometimes they last for 20 minutes and sometimes they last for an hour.  At school, they are usually between 30 minutes-an hour.  At home, each nap is at least an hour long.  That's because you sleep on mommy or daddy at home.  You used to nap in the swing at school, but you are now such a big boy you don't fit in the swing anymore.  All naps at school are now taken in the crib.

*  Your daddy watched you all day for the first time while mommy had to work.  You two had so much fun and even came to visit mommy at work for lunch.  It was such a nice treat!

*  You are such a good and fast crawler!  On Jan. 11, you started crawling on your hands and knees.  I think you are really enjoying being mobile!

*  You are also pulling up on everything!  Your favorites are the dining room table, couch, and your dresser.  You also love to pull out all of your clothes and throw them on the floor.  This is such a fun game for mommy!

*  On Jan 2, we had to lower your crib at 10:00 at night.  You started crying after we put you to bed.  When we looked at the monitor, you were tring to crawl out of your crib.  We ran upstairs and we lowered it right then. 

*  We bought you your big boy carseat this month!  It's a Britax Advocate.  Mommy did lots of research, and this one is the safest one there is!  You rode in it for the first time on Jan. 10.  I was a little sad about you moving out of your carrier, but I know this one is so much safer, so I'm pretty happy about that!

*  You love the Doodlebops.  It's a t.v. show with 3 characters dressed in costumes.  They sing catchy songs and dance, and you are crazy about it!  When we watch it you get so excited and start waving your left arm in the air.  It's adorable!  We love to dance with you to the songs!  Mommy and daddy secretly love it too and find ourselves singing the songs all the time.  It's the only thing on t.v. that you watch right now.

*  You LOVE LOVE LOVE Jordan!  Now that you crawl, you are able to interact with her so much more.  You love to throw her the ball, feed her your food, and pet her.  You will also just sit and watch her.  You think she is so funny!  I love that you already love her so much! 

*  You also love her dog bowl.  We've let you play in it a few times, but now we try to keep it put away while you are awake.  If it's down, you will try to crawl over there as fast as you can before mommy and daddy catch you.

*  You really love bath time!  You splash, play with toys, and do lots of standing up (which scares mommy so much)! 

*  You HATE getting your diaper changed and putting clothes on or taking clothes off.  We do lots of wrestling with you now to try to get you to sit still.  I think you cry almost everytime we have to do one of those things. 

*  You love to play with the tubberware in the kitchen when we're in there!  You'll take all of it out of the basket and bang it on the floor.  You have so much fun with it!

*  You say dadadada all the time, but you don't know what it means, at least I think you don't.  I'm still waiting for you to say mama.  I sing it to you, say it over and over, but you will just smile at me or start saying dadadada.  I can't wait to hear you say my name!

Brady, Another month has come and gone and you are growing so quickly!  This month was filled with so many firsts!  I love watching all your new skills develop and seeing your sweet personality show even more!  I love that you are crawling now and can crawl right into our arms, melts our hearts every time!  I love you so much baby boy!
