Brady, You are ONE month old!
(We celebrated on the 30th, since April doesn't have a 31st.)
What have you been up to?
* You nurse every 3 hours during the day (30 minutes each feeding), and every 4-5 hours at night. Daddy gives you a bottle when he comes home at work, but other than that I nurse you. I LOVE this time with you, and Daddy enjoys getting to feed you too!
* You usually wake up between 7:30 and 8:30 for your first feeding.
* You are a great sleeper at night! Mommy usually has to wake you up to nurse! Sometimes you will wake me up though!
* You are wearing newborn diapers, and mostly newborn clothes. There are a few 0-3 month outfits that fit you.
* You can hold your head up and love to try to climb up us when we are holding you.
* You smiled at mommy for the first time this past Friday (April 29, 2011). You were lounging on my legs, and I was talking to you. You gave me a big grin! Melt my heart!!!
* You love the carseat! When we first put you in you cry for a minute and then you fall asleep! This also makes you a great shopper, since we put the carseat in the stroller!
* The first 2 weeks of your life we only got out of the house twice. Since then, we have gone out to eat lunch a few times and been grocery shopping and to the mall 3 times! Mommy doesn't like to take you out in public for very long yet.
* You love to sleep on our chest, and we LOVE it too!
* You also love to look at the ceiling! You just stare at it and get upset when we move to a new spot.
* You celebrated your first holiday, Easter!
* You visited mommy and daddy's work! You didn't meet mommy's students, since you are still too little, but you met some of my coworkers.
* This has been THE most wonderful month of our lives! We love you SO much!
